3. Products and Livestock
We specialise in the supply of live marine corals and associated aquarium products.
While every effort is made to ensure all photographs and descriptions on our website are accurate, coral colours may vary due to lighting and screen differences. Minor variations in appearance do not constitute grounds for refund or return.
All livestock is sold as live animals, and natural variation between individual specimens should be expected.
4. Orders and Payment
Orders are confirmed once full payment has been received.
All payments are processed securely through trusted third-party payment providers (e.g., Shopify Payments, PayPal, or other authorised gateways).
We do not store or have access to your card details.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if:
-
The product is no longer available or incorrectly priced.
-
Fraudulent or suspicious activity is detected.
-
There are issues processing the payment.
If your order is cancelled, you will be notified by email and issued a full refund.
5. Pricing and Availability
All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT (where applicable).
Prices and availability are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
In the rare event that a product is listed at an incorrect price, we reserve the right to cancel and refund the order before dispatch.
6. Packaging and Dispatch
All corals and livestock are checked, photographed, and packaged carefully to ensure they are shipped in the best possible condition.
Orders are dispatched via Royal Mail or other approved couriers using next-day delivery where possible.
For full details, please see our Delivery & DOA Policy.
7. Risk and Ownership
Ownership of goods passes to the customer once payment has been received in full.
Risk for the goods passes to the courier upon collection from our facility.
Deep Blue North East Ltd cannot accept responsibility for delays, damage, or loss during transit once the parcel has been collected by the courier.
8. Dead on Arrival (DOA) and Livestock Claims
Please refer to our Delivery & DOA Policy for full details on our DOA procedure and timeframes.
Claims submitted outside of the 1-hour window or without photographic evidence will not be considered.
9. Returns and Refunds (Dry Goods Only)
Due to the perishable nature of live corals and livestock, returns and refunds are not accepted for live goods except under our DOA policy.
For non-livestock products (dry goods), returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided items are:
-
Unused and in their original packaging
-
Returned at the customer’s expense
Once received and inspected, we will issue a refund or exchange as appropriate.
10. Cancellations
Orders for live corals and livestock cannot be cancelled once prepared for dispatch due to the time-sensitive nature of shipping live animals.
If you wish to cancel a dry goods order, please contact us immediately at admin@deepbluenortheast.co.uk.
If the order has not yet been shipped, we will issue a refund.
11. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must ensure that:
-
Someone is available to receive and sign for the parcel on the agreed delivery date.
-
Suitable aquarium conditions are in place to safely acclimate and house new livestock.
-
Any issues or DOA claims are reported promptly within the required timeframe.
Failure to meet these requirements may void eligibility for DOA or damage claims.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Deep Blue North East Ltd is not liable for:
-
Delays or losses caused by couriers or postal services
-
Damage due to improper acclimation, handling, or tank conditions
-
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from any purchase
Our total liability under these Terms shall not exceed the total value of the order in question.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The latest version will always be available on our website, with the date of the most recent revision displayed above.
